I saw an article on NOLA.com about the Miss America Show Us Your Shoes Parade. The article (which features "Hey Muses!" in the title) describes how the contestants displayed shoes decorated to thematically represent their states. I pulled up a few more articles (on this year, and others), and OH MY GOODNESS, SO MUCH ADORABLE.
